Versailles first thing this
morning; not my cup of tea, but everybody had a good time, and the paintings
and statuary impressed me. A lot
of wealth is poured into the aristocracy; but I have to remember these countries
are centuries old. After the
castle, we went into town, which was a lot cleaner and less bustling than
Paris. Everyone enjoyed a couple
of hours down-time in the market, then we made our way back to the Latin
Quarter in Paris and split into groups; shopping, walking in the park, and
revisiting Notre-Dame for a Crypt tour.
We ate supper at Chez Clement; which was a beautiful restaurant, with a
few finches flying around the dining room. Everybody is just about ready to come home. We’ll see you soon.
