First day in Paris
We started the day at 5am and headed straight for King's Cross to catch the Chunnel Train. After an hour going through security, we boarded the EuroStar. Riding was so smooth and quiet it was like a very well engineered highway car (going 335 km/hr). We arrived in Paris around 1130 am and promptly lost another hour of sleep. With only 15 minutes for lunch, John and I chose to hit a sushi restaurant that had a very unique setup (see the blog), then it was back on the bus for a driving tour of the big tourist sites. We've just checked into our final hotel, (The Ibis) and I've got to say, though its older, this place is 100% more comfortable than the last. Plus, I'm posting this free.
