This place is something special. Not nearly as touristy as Bath, and strangely, better shopping.
This morning we travelled to Shakespeare's birthplace, through the city to Harvard House and King Edward's School (a beautiful boarding school); because it is Easter Sunday we missed a performance of Hamlet by the Royal Shakespeare Company, then on to Holy Trinity Church and Shakespeare's grave. We finally ended up at the Swan Theatre and the theatre gardens, then a hop skip and a jump back to the hotel and an afternoon of shopping and site seeing. Several of us went to Shakespeare's birthplace for the full tour later. The Brass Rubbing Center and a super cheeseball historical house-turned-pseudo wax museum rounded out the afternoon. We hope you miss us, we all miss you, though so far the trip has been tear-free.
